Are Limiting Beliefs Keeping You Stuck In Your Business Career?
Being stuck is never a good feeling. We often get frustrated and see no light at the end of the tunnel when this stuck feeling comes. There are more people than those that care to admit it that feel stuck and simply do nothing about it. Why do you think it is that they go on living these lives that are not satisfying?
#1 – Forgetting They Have a Choice
Many of us are working in jobs we hate or in positions that are not our area of brilliance. We complain and fuss but totally forget that we have a choice. No one is physically forcing us to be there. We are not physically slaves but mentally, on the other hand, maybe we are. When we forget that we have a choice, we give up that choice.
What are some ways you can exercise your freedom of choice?
- Saying no to a project
- Pushing a project deadline out further
- Requesting more help
#2 – A Lack of Ideas
If you are feeling stuck in your career, you may not have any idea about how to get out of it. Maybe you don’t know what you would do, could do or should do if you weren’t where you are right now.
When you take back your power and realize that you have a choice, you will then be able to get more creative and start coming up with great ideas.
#3 – Being Too Tired
After working endlessly, sometimes our brains are just too worn out to act upon anything new. Maybe you have a great new idea that could help you out of this mess but you just don’t act upon it. Many times this is a belief issue. If you believed it would help you get to where you wanted to go, you would act even if you were tired mentally or physically.
#4 – Lack of Plans
If you do not have any plans of how you are going to make things better, you are going to remain stuck forever. You must plan your work and work your plan. Getting into a better situation can only be done whenever you get to work on a plan and put it into action.
