Expressing gratitude bolsters self-worth and self-esteem. When you realize how much people have done for you or how much you have accomplished, you feel confident and happy π
3 ways you can start practicing gratitude
1. Gratitude journal π I have one beside my bed and write 7-10 things I am grateful for on a left side of my journal that happened today and 7-10 things I am grateful for like they already happened
Here is example
Left side: I am so grateful for being able to have my lunch outside on my patio on this beautiful day with Trinky by my side
Write side: I am so grateful to be able to write my book π at my beach π house π‘ while listening to waives crushing
Whatever you writing feel it with all your heart.
You can involve your kids and let them write their gratitude journals and share with you.
2. THANK YOU NOTES
Write thank you notes or mail thank you cards.
And also give mental Thank You’s if you don’t have opportunity to mail card or give note.
Mentally thank that driver who stopped and let you cross the road. I use my hands, I always “waive” ” thank you” and say it out loud if someone stopped and let me cross the road or let me in when I was switching lanes. This will help you appreciate and reap the benefits of positive experiences that otherwise most likely go unnoticed.
I often get to my busy intersection with perfectl timing to turn. I always say out loud “thank you universe”
3. Start family gratitude jar
Let everyone in your family write one note what they were most grateful for that day.
And read those notes once a month
I encourage you to choose at least one of the above and start practicing gratitude you will be amazed how your life will change.
” If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change” Wayne Dyer
